If you’re planning a ferry trip from Singapore to Batam, take note: the HarbourFront ferry terminal is relocating. Starting 15 July 2026, ferry services currently based at HarbourFront Centre will move to the new HarbourFront Ferry Terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549 part of the Singapore Cruise Centre precinct.

The good news is that ferry schedules, routes, and fares are not affected. This is purely a change of physical location, and it’s happening to give passengers a more modern, comfortable departure experience. Here’s everything you need to know so your next Batam trip goes smoothly.
What’s Changing (and What Isn’t)
What’s changing:
The ticket counter and immigration clearance point are moving from HarbourFront Centre to the new terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue. Batam Fast Ferry’s counter moves first, on 7 July 2026, ahead of the remaining operators on 15 July 2026.
What’s staying the same:
- Ferry schedules and crossing times remain unchanged.
- Ticket prices and promotions are unaffected.
- The overall booking process on Batam Ferry Tickets stays exactly the same.
Important Reminder
If your travel date falls between these two dates, it’s especially important to confirm which terminal your ferry operator is departing from before you head down, this is the one week where the two terminals will be running side by side.
New Terminal Location & How to Get There

New HarbourFront Ferry Terminal
5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549
(Located within the Singapore Cruise Centre precinct)
Getting there:
- On foot from the old terminal: The new terminal is only a short walk away, so if you’re used to the old HarbourFront Centre layout, you won’t need to travel far.
- By MRT: Alight at HarbourFront MRT (NE1/CC29) and follow signage toward the Singapore Cruise Centre / new ferry terminal.
- By car/taxi/Grab: Enter via HarbourFront Avenue; drop-off points will be clearly marked closer to the relocation date.
We recommend building in a little extra time on your first trip through the new terminal simply to get familiar with the layout.
How to check-in at HarbourFront New Terminal?
The check-in flow stays broadly similar to what you’re used to at HarbourFront Centre just at a new location. Here’s what to expect step by step:

The new HarbourFront Ferry Terminal is located just 70 metres from the existing terminal, at 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549.
Arrive at 5 HarbourFront Avenue and head to your ferry operator’s counter (Batam Fast Ferry from 7 July 2026; other operators from 15 July 2026).
Once you’re ready, check in at the automated ticket counter. Have your booking confirmation on your phone and passport ready. Choose Batam Fast for your Ferry Operator.

Choose “Boarding Pass” if you do not have any checked baggage. Your boarding pass will be printed immediately.
If you have checked baggage, choose “Boarding Pass and Bag Tag.” Your boarding pass and bag tag will be printed. Attach the bag tag securely to your luggage, then proceed to the Baggage Drop machine.
For odd-sized baggage, proceed directly to the Oversized Baggage Drop counter after attaching the bag tag to your luggage.

With the new self check-in system, you can now drop off your baggage directly quickly and hassle-free.
Once you have dropped off your baggage, proceed to the immigration clearance area located within the new terminal building.
After clearing immigration, head to the departure gate (holding area) indicated on your boarding pass and wait for the boarding announcement.
When boarding begins, proceed to the designated pier and board the ferry, following the crew’s instructions.

Our Tips for a Smoother Check-In:
- Have your passport, ferry ticket, and any visa documents (if required) ready before you reach the counter, this alone cuts most queue delays.
- Keep carry-on baggage light and easy to X-ray if security screening is required at the new terminal.
- If you booked through Batam Ferry Tickets, your e-ticket or confirmation email is all you need to check in no need to print anything in advance.
- First-time visitors to the new terminal should allow a little extra buffer time, simply to get oriented with the new layout and counter positions.
What This Means for Your Next Batam Trip
Nothing changes about how you book with us. You’ll still get your ferry ticket the same way through Batam Ferry Tickets, at the same fares, for the same schedules. The only difference is where you’ll check in and clear immigration on departure day.
Our Recommendation for a Smooth Departure:
Arrive at least 45–60 minutes before departure on regular days, and 60–90 minutes during peak periods. Have your ferry ticket and passport ready before joining the queue. If you’re travelling between 7–15 July 2026, check your ticket confirmation or contact us to confirm your exact departure counter.
